Agreed Statement of Beliefs
At Bread of Life Church of the Nazarene, we hold steadfast to the following core beliefs:
- One God: We believe in one God—the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
- Scriptural Inspiration: We believe that the Old and New Testament Scriptures contain all truth necessary to faith and Christian living.
- Fallen Nature: We believe that man is born with a fallen nature and is inclined to evil.
- Eternal Loss: We believe that the finally impenitent are hopelessly and eternally lost.
- Atonement: We believe that the atonement through Jesus Christ is for the whole human race, granting salvation to all who repent and believe.
- Sanctification: We believe that believers are sanctified wholly through faith in Jesus Christ.
- Holy Spirit: We believe that the Holy Spirit bears witness to the new birth and the entire sanctification of believers.
- Return and Judgment: We believe that our Lord will return, the dead will be raised, and the final judgment will take place.
