The Season of Advent - Peace

Today, the 2nd Sunday of Advent, we celebrate Peace.

Sometimes, with all the chaos and disorder, it's hard to imagine the possibility of peace in this day and age. We spend countless hours and dollars searching for that perfect gift while running from store to store like Teddy Roosevelt yelling "CHARGE"…

God gave us that perfect gift in His Son, Jesus Christ, the Messiah. In His First Advent He came as a humble servant but in His Second Advent, He will come as conquering King. He will come to purify and cleanse (Malachi 3:3, Psalms. 66:10). To establish an everlasting peace.

Until that time we can still rest in His peace through God's grace. Grace always precedes peace. You can't have peace, real peace, without God's grace. And you'll never know God's grace without the perfect gift of His Son. It all comes right back around to His Son. The real reason for the season.

Merry CHRISTmas!
